Guest Book Alternatives
The days of having everyone sign their name attendance style at your reception are long gone. Here are some of our favorite guest book alternatives.
Polaroid Album Many couples will have an Instax camera, or a few, for guests to snap a picture of themselves and sign next to when they come in. This is great if you have a younger crowd or someone who can be near to help any older guests. (Don't forget to have a small trash can nearby for the wrapping and the empty photo trays!) You can find specially made albums for this on Etsy or The Knot.
Sign to Hang in your Home A wooden sign with your last name, first names and or date that your guests are able to sign around is another great option. You can hang the sign somewhere afterwards to keep those memories present. We love the signs made by one of our former brides at The White Birch Collective, check her out!
Framed and Matted Photo Another favorite non-traditional guest book ideas isn’t a book at all. Frame one of your favorite shots together or an engagement photo and invite your guests to sign the mat around the image. This is a good option for smaller weddings. After your wedding you can replace the image with one of your favorite wedding shots and have a beautiful reminder of your day to hang in your home.
Have guests sign a globe Guest globes can make a beautiful addition to your welcome table and your home. You can ask guests to sign their name with a message or if you are travelers you can have them leave you a suggestion of a place to visit together.
Date Night Box Invite your guests to share a suggested date night on a card and place in a box where the two of you can retrieve them when you are planning a date night.
